Shawn M. Larsen Named Partner At Rutan & Tucker LLP

COSTA MESA, Calif., January 00, 2010 – Rutan & Tucker LLP, California’s largest full-service law firm based in Orange County, has announced that Shawn M. Larsen has been elevated to partner. Larsen joined the firm as an associate in 2005.

A member of the firm’s Employment and Labor Law Section, Larsen represents and counsels employers in all areas of employment law including harassment, workplace discrimination, terminations, employment agreements, leaves of absence, wage and hour issues, trade secrets, accommodating disabilities, and employment policies and procedures. In particular, Larsen has extensive experience advising businesses on matters involving state and federal public accommodation access laws, including Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act and the California Unruh Act. Larsen regularly litigates matters in both federal and state courts and before various administrative agencies.

Larsen regularly lectures before employer groups and conducts in-house training workshops regarding compliance with California and federal employment laws. He has served as the associate editor of California Employers’ Guide To Employee Handbooks And Personnel Policy Manuals, published by Matthew Bender.

Larsen received his law degree from Case Western Reserve University in 1999, graduating magna cum laude and as a member of the Order of the Coif. He received his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in 1996. He is the former president of the Board of Directors for Mariposa Women and Family Center in Santa Ana, California.
