Mr. Adams is a partner in Rutan & Tucker’s Trial Department. His practice focuses on business and intellectual property litigation, with particular emphasis on trade secrets, trademark and copyright infringement, fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair competition, defamation and other business torts. He also has substantial experience defending construction defect and product liability claims.
Mr. Adams has tried more than a dozen cases to jury verdict. Most recently, he obtained a complete defense verdict for his client in an action in which plaintiff sought $2.5M in compensatory damages, plus punitives. In addition to his trial practice, Mr. Adams represents clients in various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including arbitrations, mediations and statutory prelitigation dispute resolution procedures such as SB 800.
