Ms. Bernstein, a partner at Rutan and Tucker, has extensive experience in a wide variety of real estate transactions, including acquisition, finance, leasing and disposition of commercial, retail and residential real estate. Her practice includes the representation of both landlords and tenants, lenders and borrowers, and purchasers and sellers of real property.

REPRESENTATIVE TRANSACTIONS

• Negotiated and drafted purchase and sale agreements for commercial and retail properties, including regional shopping centers, office buildings, and hotels.
• Represented owners of large scale development projects in connection with negotiating agreements with public agencies, drafting offsite improvement agreements, and addressing entitlement issues.
• Drafted commercial, retail, and ground leases, representing the interests of both landlords and tenants. Clients have included both public and private entities.
• Negotiated and drafted a variety of loan transactions, including construction financing, permanent financing and bond transactions. Experience includes bridge and permanent financing for a large destination resort.
