Mr. Aikins is a Partner in the Firm's Public Law section in the Palo Alto office. His areas of expertise include Land Use, Environmental, and Redevelopment Law.

Mr. Aikins specializes in legal issues encountered in development of raw land, urban redevelopment and local governmental entitlements throughout California. Mr. Aikins is also conversant in CEQA, NEPA, state and federal wetlands, endangered species regulations, California Redevelopment Law and practice, Coastal Commission practice, municipal infrastructure finance mechanisms, subdivisions, annexations, public works and private construction law, municipal law and development strategies.

Mr. Aikins received his J.D. in 1977 from the University of San Francisco School of law. He is licensed to practice in all California courts as well as the U.S. District Court, 9th Circuit; U.S. Court of Appeals and U.S. Court of Military Appeals.

Mr. Aikins is a member of the State Bar's Environmental Law Section as well as a member of the Select Conference on Industry Litigation (SCIL), California Building Industry Association. Mr. Aikins has been a conference and seminar guest lecturer at various venues such as League of California Cities, San Jose State University Graduate Planning Department, Stanford University Graduate School of Business, University of San Francisco Law School, AEP Statewide Convention, Pacific Asbestos Information Center, California Community Colleges Association, NBI Executive Seminars (California Land Use Law) and Lorman Educational Services (Advanced CEQA Practice).
