Ms. Forsyth is a partner in the Real Estate Section. She has specialized exclusively in real estate transactional law and has represented numerous real estate developers and investors since graduating from UCLA School of Law and joining Rutan & Tucker in 1977. Her experience includes land development and entitlement issues, title and due diligence considerations, purchase and sale agreements, debt and equity secured financings, commercial leasing, venture formation and tax deferred exchanges. While most clients are shopping center, office, apartment and/or apartment developers, owners and/or investors, over the years.

Ms. Forsyth has also represented developers of several large planned residential communities in the Southern California area and served as lead counsel to several large nonprofit religious organizations and charitable foundations in the development and financing of new facilities.

  • Acquisition, entitlement entity formation and financing 200+ unit multi-family housing projects in western United States for large multi-family developer/investor
  • Acquisition, sale, ground leasing, space leasing, CC&Rs and development agreements for regional and neighborhood shopping centers
  • Build-to-suit leases and ground leases of multiple governmental office facilities for County of Orange, County of Los Angeles and University of California, Riverside representing private developer
  • Land acquisition, development, construction, financing and leasing of multiple high-rise office projects for private developers
  • Acquisition, entitlement, financing, CC&Rs, development agreements, and marketing agreements for subdivision and sale to merchant builders for planned residential developments in San Juan Capistrano, Chino Hills, Temecula, East Highlands and Manhattan Beach
