Hani Z. Sayed, is a partner in the Intellectual Property section of Rutan & Tucker, LLP. Mr. Sayed’s practice emphasizes intellectual property prosecution and litigation, with particular emphasis on patent, trademark and copyright prosecution. Mr. Sayed has extensive experience in IP licensing, development and due diligence along with analysis and opinion work.
Mr. Sayed has prosecution experience in a wide variety of technical fields including mechanical, electrical and software, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and chemical compositions. Additionally, Mr. Sayed is an adjunct professor at the University of California, San Diego where he teaches courses in Intellectual Property Law, Patent Prosecution and Advanced Issues in Intellectual Property Law.
Mr. Sayed received a Bachelors of Science from Michigan State University in Molecular Biology/Zoology with emphasis on chemistry, and fulfilled a bio-medical option including coursework at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Mr. Sayed received his Juris Doctor at DePaul University in Chicago, with emphasis on Intellectual Property Law.

- Represent one of the largest manufacturers of key and key accessories with respect to their Intellectual Property rights, both domestic and international patents and trademarks.
