COSTA MESA, Calif., Oct. 27, 2010 – Executive Vice President and General Counsel Jeffrey Hill, Esq. of California Bank & Trust (CB&T) was recently honored by the Los Angeles Business Journal in the publication’s annual Corporate Counsel Awards as the top in-house attorney in the category of private companies with over $200 million in sales.
Hill heads CB&T’s legal department and is responsible for hiring and oversight of outside counsel, management of in-house legal operations and regulatory liaison. He is a member of the organization’s executive management committee and is the corporate secretary and secretary of the Board of Directors.
Prior to joining CB&T in 1998, Hill was a partner with Pillsbury Madison & Sutro in Los Angeles. He began his legal career with Lillick McHose & Charles in 1980.
The Awards event acknowledges the significant role that in-house counsel plays in the success of a business enterprise and recognizes the accomplishments of leading in-house attorneys within the Los Angeles business community.
