COSTA MESA, California, August 8, 2011 – Rutan & Tucker, LLP, Orange County’s largest full-service law firm, received top marks in a recent evaluation of law firms conducted by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) using a client satisfaction index that lets Association members share confidential evaluations of the law firms they engage.
The firm received an excellent rating of 4.7 points out of a possible five points, and received top rankings in each of the following criteria: Understands Objectives/Expectations; Legal Expertise; Efficiency/Process Management; Responsiveness/Communication; Predictable Cost/Budgeting Skills; and Results delivered/Execution.
With regard to legal matters handled by the firm, Rutan received an average score of 4.8 points for employment, human resources and labor law, and 4.6 points for general litigation. All clients rating the firm said they would engage Rutan again. The index is searchable by firm name, matter type and/or location and contains more than 5,000 reviews of more than 1,300 firms. Additionally, the index rated Rutan partner Richard Howell as a “highly recommended business litigator,” and partner James Morris as a ”very good employment lawyer in Southern California.”
According to the Association, in these challenging times, law firms are increasingly under pressure to reduce costs while still performing at the level clients have come to expect, and in-house counsel are under equal scrutiny to monitor costs. The index allows members to share ratings of law firms so that they can better meet company demands.
