Mr. Wight is a partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property group.
Mr. Wight’s practice is focused on patent preparation and prosecution, intellectual property due diligence, opinion work and client counseling, primarily in the medical device field. He has extensive experience prosecuting patent applications worldwide and drafting freedom of operation, infringement, and validity opinions for prominent medical device clients. Mr. Wight’s practice also involves providing support in litigation and interference matters, advising on the management of worldwide patent portfolios, and assisting in the defense of opposed European patents.
Mr. Wight received his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1997 and received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, cum laude, and a B.S. degree in Mathematics, cum laude, from the University of North Dakota in 1994.
Mr. Wight is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
