
Overview
James Bennett represents clients across industries in formations, investments, financings, acquisitions, and other business transactions. Jimmy also acts as outside general counsel assisting clients with wide-ranging commercial contracts and other legal issues. Clients rely on Jimmy for his practical and efficient M&A approach, which he has developed while representing both buyers and sellers in industries such as agriculture, consumer products, engineering, manufacturing, professional services, and technology, among others. Additionally, Jimmy’s experience includes representing numerous fintech companies in structured finance deals involving warehouse facilities, receivables financing facilities, mezzanine loans, and subordinated debt arrangements in collectively billions of dollars of transactions.
Prior to law school, Jimmy was the operations manager for an import-export company based in southern California and managed its thirty-member warehouse team. As an undergraduate student at Stanford University, Jimmy majored in International Relations and lived and worked in South America.
