
Overview
Stefan Brooks is a Patent Agent in the firm’s Intellectual Property group and is focused primarily on patent preparation and prosecution.
Prior to joining Rutan & Tucker, LLP, Stefan was a graduate student, studying cancer biology at the University of California, Irvine. During his time there, he completed a fellowship in the Research Translation Group in Applied Innovation, helping UCI’s faculty and staff walk through the patent process and identifying potential licensees for various technologies and inventions.
Stefan has over 5 years of experience researching various scientific topics and has authored or coauthored several papers in Leukemia Research, Blood Advances and Experimental Hematology. He received his Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine in May 2020, a Master of Science in July 2019 and his Bachelor of Arts in 2013 from the University of Pittsburgh. He is admitted to practice before the United State Patent and Trademark Office.
