Travers Morgan’s legal practice encompasses a comprehensive range of transactions relating to technology, intellectual property, privacy, and cybersecurity related issues. Bringing years of experience advising businesses in the fields of technology, entertainment, and life sciences, Travers understands the industry specific challenges that clients face on a day-to-day basis. His approach as an attorney balances the legal issues that clients face with the vital business interests that are necessary to operate a company effectively at any stage of growth.
Travers protects his clients’ interests throughout the entire development lifecycle, including providing initial legal opinions and recommendations prior to launch of products or services, compliance and product counseling, as well as contract drafting and negotiations, throughout the planning and development stages of such products and services, patent and trademark prosecution for protection of proprietary products and branding initiatives, licensing and commercialization advice and related agreements when clients are ready to launch or partner with third parties.
Travers is a member of the California State Bar, District of Columbia Bar, and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and a Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) and is Certified in IoT and Blockchain Fundamentals through ISACA. He has presented on issues relating to technology, intellectual property, and privacy and continuously takes courses relating to emerging technologies to maintain an understanding of the issues that clients face on a day-to-day basis in the development of their products and services. Travers is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, IAPP, and ISACA, and has also served as a board member of the Santa Monica Bar Association.
