Overview
Eva Finley is an associate attorney in Rutan’s Litigation and Trial department in the Irvine office. She handles primarily civil business litigation. Her practice involves a variety of business and civil litigation matters, including business and intentional torts, business contract and fraud cases, construction defect and delay claims, insurance litigation, and bankruptcy, amongst others. Eva provides legal counseling through all stages of litigation, including dispositive motion practice, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and appeals.
Eva received her J.D. from University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. As a law student, she served as a Legal Writing Fellow helping first-year students learn foundational legal writing skills. She also participated in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program and the USC Gould Mediation Clinic, the latter of which involved serving as a mediator in small claims courts located around the Los Angeles region.
Prior to law school, she received her bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Tulane University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She worked in both a small criminal defense firm and a small employment law firm before admission to the State Bar and joining Rutan & Tucker.
