Shawna McKee is a transactional attorney with over ten years of experience representing and advising public entities in California. Shawna’s areas of expertise include negotiating and drafting contractual instruments that typically accompany municipal projects, including professional service agreements, construction contracts, and lease agreements. As a municipal law attorney, Shawna counsels her clients in the implementation of state and federal laws and assists in the drafting of local laws and regulations.
Shawna is also actively involved in pro bono work, which includes serving as the lead attorney on a team representing a human trafficking victim as part of the OC Human Trafficking Project in partnership with the UC Irvine School of Law and the Public Law Center.
In addition to advising Rutan & Tucker’s numerous governmental clients, Shawna serves as Assistant City Attorney for the City of Laguna Woods.
