Overview
Katelyn Nghiem is a paralegal in the Intellectual Property section of Rutan & Tucker, LLP. Katelyn specializes in trademark prosecution, both in the U.S. and abroad, from preparing, filing, and seeking registration of a trademark to maintaining each registration to ensure they do not expire or lapse. She also manages provisional refusals (office actions), opposition and cancellation proceedings, helps enforce trademark rights, and monitors third-party applications that may be confusingly similar to the client’s trademarks.
Katelyn is also experienced in copyright prosecution, domain name enforcement, U.S. Customs and Boarder Protection recordation, and transactional work.
Katelyn is well versed in International Registrations (IRs) and filing and searching through the WIPO Madrid System. She is experienced in a wide variety of industries, including but not limited to fashion, medical, automotive, artificial intelligence (AI), video games, restaurant businesses, beverages, cosmetics, vaping, real estate, and small businesses.
