Costa Mesa, CA – Rutan & Tucker, LLP announced today that Mark B. Frazier has been elected to Managing Partner of the law firm effective March 1, 2020, succeeding William F. Meehan who served in that role for four years. Previously, Frazier, served as the firm’s Trial Department Section Head from 2009 through 2018, and also has served as Chairperson for the firm’s Finance and Recruiting Committees.

Frazier began his career at Rutan & Tucker in 1982 in its Trial Department. He is an accomplished litigator having tried cases in state, federal and bankruptcy courts, and counseled clients in many substantive areas for almost four decades. He advises clients on early identification of potential disputes, dispute avoidance, effective approaches for early resolution of litigation, and strategies for achieving litigation goals, whether through settlement or trial.
Frazier is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Law, where he participated in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program. He also earned his B.A. with Honors in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College. In the community, Frazier currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Law and Military Policy, a nonprofit think-tank dedicated to strengthening legal protections for those who serve the nation in uniform. He also served for many years on the Board of Trustees of the Pegasus School in Huntington Beach, chairing its Finance and Curriculum Vision Committees. From 1998 to 2002, Frazier served on the Occidental College Alumni Board of Governors, completing his service as the President of the Board. More recently, his wife Geri and he have served on the Pomona College Parent Leadership Council and have devoted substantial time to advancing collegiate athletics, particularly Division III football and Small College Rugby.
