Cushman & Wakefield Represents Prominent Orange County Law Firm in Major Relocation Deal
IRVINE, CA, May 2019 – Cushman & Wakefield announced today that Rutan & Tucker, LLP, one of the largest full service law firms in Orange County, has signed a 12-year lease to relocate its Costa Mesa headquarters to The Boardwalk in Irvine, California.
Rutan & Tucker will occupy approximately 72,000 square feet (sf) comprised of the entire top-floor and a portion of the 8th floor. It was also able to secure prominent building top signage as a result of the relocation deal. The firm has been in its current space at 611 Anton Blvd. in Costa Mesa since 1981.
Bob Thagard, Christopher Bosley, Ali Anderson, and Jason Ward from Cushman & Wakefield’s Irvine office, in partnership with Sherry Cushman from the Washington, D.C. office and the firm’s Legal Sector Advisory Group, represented the tenant in the transaction. Trammell Crow Company was represented by Dean Chandler, Justin Hill, and Weston Chandler, who serve as leasing agents for The Boardwalk.
Located at 18565-18575 Jamboree Rd. in Irvine, The Boardwalk sits in the heart of Orange County’s Central Business District. A 7.5-acre site with more than 550,000 sf of premier office space, the two-tower, nine-story project designed by Gensler integrates signature bridgeways, outdoor terraces, and open-air features with over 2 acres of landscaped open space. The property also features 7,000 sf of restaurant and retail. It was certified LEED Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council.

In addition, the top floor of The Boardwalk offers an 11-foot finished ceiling, spectacular views from all vantage points, and tremendous amenities and services. It is the best space in Greater Airport Area.”

The transaction is Orange County’s second biggest office lease in Q2 2019, according to Cushman & Wakefield Research.
