Overview
Michael Malakouti brings a unique perspective and creativity to his practice as an Associate in the firm’s Trial Department. A graduate of UC Irvine School of Law, he sharpened his legal skills as an extern for the Honorable James V. Selna and at the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Mr. Malakouti also served as an associate editor on law review and as a research assistant for the Chief Reporter for the Restatement (Third) of Torts: Intentional Torts to Persons. Mr. Malakouti played an integral part in a high-profile appeal in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals as part of the Court’s pro bono program, ultimately concluding in a favorable decision for the client.
Outside of legal practice, Mr. Malakouti is a prize-winning concert pianist who has performed in venues throughout Southern California and Western Europe. His other interests include golf, chess, cooking, and dogs.
