COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 3, 2012 – Rutan & Tucker, LLP, California’s largest full-service law firm based in Orange County, has elevated attorney Gerry Mooney to partner.
Mooney is a member of the firm’s Trial Section, where his areas of practice include business, real estate and insurance litigation on the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts. He has significant experience in Anti-SLAPP motions on both trial and appellate levels and also has handled several emergency petitions for writ review to California’s Courts of Appeal.
He is a member of the Board of Junior Achievement of Orange County, which educates young people in elementary through high school about business, economics, and free enterprise. Mooney earned his law degree in 2002 from the University of California Hastings College of the Law. He was a member of the Hastings Moot Court Board and participated in the John Marshall Law School International Moot Court Competition in Information Technology & Privacy Law and the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition.
