Costa Mesa, California, October 5, 2012 – Rutan & Tucker Partner Michael Adams has joined the Board of Directors of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Southern California Chapter.
“We are so excited to have Michael as our newest board member,” said Southern California Chapter President Paul Motenko. “His passion for our kids is amazing. Michael will be playing a large role in our Pipeline to a Cure Campaign that promotes the benefits of surfing, the ocean and cystic fibrosis.”
Cystic fibrosis is the number one genetic killer of children in the United States and there is no cure. The average life expectancy for someone with the disease is only 37 years.
“The Foundation’s number one mission is to find a cure for this terrible disease and it’s because of compassionate people like Michael that we will reach that goal,” said Motenko.
As a member of the firm’s Trial Department, Adam’s practice focuses on business and intellectual property litigation, with particular emphasis on trade secrets, infringement, fraud, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair competition, defamation and other business torts. He earned his law degree from Stanford Law School in 1996, and his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Santa Cruz in 1993.
