COSTA MESA, Calif., September 20, 2012 – Attorneys at Rutan & Tucker, LLP, one of California’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, recently obtained summary judgment for their client HID Global Corporation in a patent infringement action involving two important radio frequency identification (RFID) technology patents.
The United States District Court for the Central District of California granted Motions for Summary Judgment, finding that the asserted claims of both patents are valid and that the defendant infringed both patents. The Rutan & Tucker team was led by partners Ronald Oines and Michael Hornak, members of the firm’s business litigation practice and Intellectual Property Practice Group.
“We congratulate the Rutan & Tucker team and are pleased that they achieved this terrific victory for our client,” said Kim Thompson, Rutan & Tucker’s managing partner.
