Overview
Joelle Leib is an associate in Rutan & Tucker’s Litigation and Trial department and handles business and civil matters. Joelle joined Rutan & Tucker following a one year clerkship with the Honorable John D. Early of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in Santa Ana, California.
Joelle graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Irvine School of Law and was the highest performing student in her Federal Courts and Torts classes, and the second highest performing student in her Civil Procedure class. While in law school, Joelle externed for the Honorable Dennis M. Perluss of the California Court of Appeal, Second Appellate Division in Los Angeles and worked as a Research Assistant on the Restatement (Third) of Torts. Joelle also interned for the U.S. Department of Justice, Commercial Litigation Branch, Fraud Section in Washington, D.C. where she prepared litigation materials for the DOJ’s cases involving the False Claims Act.
Prior to attending law school, Joelle worked as a tour guide and civics instructor for middle and high school students visiting Washington, D.C. She graduated cum laude from Scripps College in Claremont, California.
