Corporate Commercial Finance Associate

Corporate commercial finance associate sought by Rutan & Tucker, LLP, one of California’s largest full-service law firms. Applicants must be admitted to practice in California, have graduated from a top law school with solid grades, and have 1-10 years of corporate transactional experience at a firm comparable to Rutan.  Applicants need also have a working knowledge of Article 9 of the UCC.  Preference will be given to candidates with meaningful experience handling commercial finance transactions, including drafting and negotiating loan and security documents.  The ideal candidate will have managed corporate finance transactions from inception to closing on behalf of both lenders and borrowers.

Applicants should have 1-10 years of  experience representing clients in any area of commercial real estate transactions (including acquisitions, development, leasing, and/or finance), and be a California-admitted attorney from a firm with a comparable real estate practice and a top law school with solid grades.

Labor & Employment Associate

Rutan & Tucker, LLP is seeking an associate attorney with 2-4 years of litigation experience.  The candidate should have significant litigation experience.  Experience with employment law is a plus but is not required.  The candidate should possess excellent academic credentials from a well-rated law school.  The candidate must be willing to work out of the firm’s Irvine office. 

The position is for a self-starter, seeking an opportunity to work on a small-but-mighty collaborative team. The associate will work directly with the Department’s partners on litigation matters, and there is the opportunity to advance into advice and counsel work.  The job requires excellent analytical and writing skills; strong organizational skills; and the ability to multi-task and manage many different matters.  Ability to speak fluent Spanish is a plus.  The firm offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package for an employment law associate.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in California.  Must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice throughout employment.
  • Candidates should possess at least 2 years of California litigation experience. State court litigation experience is preferred.
  • Excellent academic credentials are required.
