Overview
Milford graduated from UCLA in 1962 with a BS in Business Administration and 1965 with his Juris Doctor, earning Order of the Coif. Milford was a partner at Rutan & Tucker from 1971 to 2020 and is a fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers. He specialized in trial and appellate civil litigation representing clients in state and federal court, and in administrative, arbitration and mediation proceedings. Milford litigated and arbitrated nearly 200 cases to judgment or award, including jury and non-jury cases involving business and commercial contracts, partnership and corporate fiduciary issues, state and federal securities law issues, antitrust and unfair competition, professional liability, real estate contracts, receiverships, CC&Rs, title disputes, broker liability, bad faith insurance, and personal injury.
Milford was an All-American miler and captain of the UCLA Varsity Track and Cross-Country teams. During his career, he lectured on civil trial practice for the CEB, Orange County Trial Lawyers, Orange County Bar College of Trial Advocacy, and Federal Bar Association, as well as private organizations.
