COSTA MESA, CALIFORNIA, November 01, 2010 – Stephen Ellis, a senior partner at Rutan & Tucker, LLP, California’s largest full-service law firm headquartered in Orange County, was recently honored by the Orange County Bar Association for his dedication and commitment during his tenure as co-chair of the organization’s Mandatory Fee Arbitration Committee.
Ellis stepped down earlier this year after being a longtime member of the committee, serving as an arbitrator since 1991 and as the committee’s co-chair from 2004 to 2010.
He joined Rutan & Tucker in 1989, and served as head of the Firm’s Trial Section from 2005 through 2008. Ellis has been handling complex business and real estate litigation matters since graduating from the UCLA School of Law in 1985. His practice experience includes a broad range of trial and appellate matters in both the state and federal court systems, and experience in alternative dispute resolution venues, including arbitration and mediation.
“It’s an honor for Rutan & Tucker to have an outstanding partner like Stephen Ellis practicing in our firm,” said Ski Harrison, the firm’s managing partner.
