COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 00, 2013 – Proud Usahacharoenporn, an associate in the Trial Section at Rutan & Tucker, LLP, California’s largest full-service business law firm based in Orange County, has recently been elected President of the Board of Directors of Backhausdance, Orange County’s award winning contemporary dance company.
Nonprofit Backhausdance serves thousands of people through arts education programs, including a summer intensive program, which educates over 50 international students annually and provides scholarships for almost half of the attendees each year.
“I’m honored and excited about the opportunity to be more involved with Backhausdance,” said Usahacharoenporn.
“Arts education is important to the health and well-being of young students, and Backhausdance has consistently been committed to improve access to dance through its independently run education programs. Our main goals this year are to expand the company’s Board of Directors and sponsorship programs.”
In her legal practice, Usahacharoenporn handles a variety of different civil matters, including contract disputes, business and intentional torts, intellectual property, bankruptcy and class action defense. She is a graduate of Duke University School of Law and obtained an undergraduate degree in psychology from UCLA. Her pro bono work includes assisting individuals involved in domestic violence and custody disputes, landlord-tenant disputes, and other nonprofit organizations.
