Costa Mesa, Calif. – January 5, 2017 – Rutan & Tucker, LLP, a full-service law firm based in Orange County, today announced it has promoted six attorneys to Partner effective January 1st.
A member of the Government & Regulatory Law Section, Megan Garibaldi’s practice includes both litigation and transactional matters, on behalf of public agencies and private entities. She currently serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the Cities of Villa Park and Yorba Linda.
Jeremy N. Jungreis, a member of the Government & Regulatory Law Section, is an accomplished water and environmental attorney with extensive experience guiding public and private clients through complex matters. Mr. Jungreis’ practice includes environmental compliance and litigation, land use/natural resource strategies, water rights—permitting and protection, water supply and water right development, public agency law, utility law, strategic planning/coalition building, and governmental relations. He has advised clients on compliance with all of the major federal and California specific environmental and land use statutes with particular emphasis on water quality, air quality and sustainable groundwater management.
A member of the Government & Regulatory Law Section, Joseph D. Larsen’s practice includes public labor and employment, condemnation and property valuation, and litigation and transactional matters pertaining to municipal government. Mr. Larsen has extensive experience in all aspects of labor and employment law in the public sector, including counseling and litigation with respect to discrimination, wage and hour disputes, the Meyer-Milias-Brown Act, the Educational Employment Relations Act, and discipline of municipal and school employees.
Damon D. Mircheff, a member of the Trial Section, focuses his practice on business litigation and intellectual property litigation, with an emphasis on contract disputes, real estate and property disputes, partnership and business member disputes, and business fraud and tort litigation. Mr. Mircheff practices in both state and federal courts, and has substantial experience in mediation and arbitration settings.
J.R. Sechrist, a member of the Real Estate Section, has substantial experience representing real estate developers, investors, tenants, landlords and borrowers. His practice includes all aspects of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, construction, financing, leasing and joint ventures. Mr. Sechrist also has significant experience with workouts and restructurings of real estate loans.
A member of the Corporate, Securities and Tax Section, Rachel A. Simon provides legal counsel and representation to corporate and business clients, as well as to individuals, in a broad range of tax and financial matters with a heavy emphasis on clients in the food and beverage, manufacturing, and health care industries. In addition, she represents individuals and families regarding all aspects of estate planning matters, including wills and trusts, state and federal tax controversy resolution and more.
