(Costa Mesa, CA) January 4, 2018 – Rutan & Tucker, LLP announced today the promotion of Tonissa Agajanian, Ben Deming, Robert Dillaway, Kathryn Domin, Deja Hemingway, Michael Page, Alisha Patterson, and Ajit Thind to partnership effective January 1, 2018.

Tonissa Agajanian is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Section, where she provides strategic counsel to property owners, lenders and commercial tenants on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions with an emphasis on financing, leasing, purchase and sale transactions and development. She received a J.D., in 2006, from Columbia University School of Law and a B.A., in 2002, from the University of California, Irvine.
Ben Deming is a member of the firm’s Trial Section where his practice focuses on patent, trademark, unfair competition and corporate litigation. He also represents clients in patent and trademark prosecution and appeal matters before the Patent and Trademark Office. His clients are found in the high tech, medical device, food and drug, textile, automotive, and consumer products industries. He received a J.D, in 2004, from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.S., in 2001, from Brigham Young University.
Robert Dillaway is member of the firm’s Real Estate Section, where he represents borrowers and lenders in connection with real estate secured financing transactions. His practice also includes representing buyers and sellers in connection with the acquisition and disposition of real property, retail and mixed use developments, as well as representing landlords and tenants in connection with the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases. He received a J.D., in 2009, from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A., in 2006, from University of California, Los Angeles.
Kathryn D.Z. Domin is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation Section, where her practice focuses on litigation involving a wide variety of industries and topics, including real estate transactions, landlord tenant disputes, misrepresentation and fraud, business interference claims, defamation, soft intellectual property disputes, unfair business practices, and class action defense (to name a few). She received a J.D., in 2010, from Pepperdine University School of Law, cum laude, and a B.A., in 2007, from University of California, Los Angeles.
Deja Hemingway is a member of the firm’s Real Estate Department. She has extensive experience in a wide variety of commercial real estate transactions with particular expertise in handling all aspects of real estate financing, leasing and purchase and sale transactions. She frequently handles commercial real estate finance transactions on behalf of borrowers, including acquisition, construction and permanent financing for developers, credit facilities, and Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loans. She received a J.D., in 1998, from University of Southern California, Gould School of Law and a B.A., in 1995, from Chapman University.
Michael Page is a member of the firm’s Corporate and Tax Section, practicing in the areas of tax planning and tax controversy, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate transactions. He assists clients in the technology, apparel, manufacturing, retail and real estate industries with various issues including Federal, state, and international tax matters, forming, buying and selling businesses, and raising capital. He received a J.D., in 2010, from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, a M.B.T., in 2007, from the University of Southern California, and a B.S., in 2007, from the University of Southern California.
Alisha Patterson is a member of the firm’s Government & Regulatory Law Section and provides strategic counsel to, and litigates on behalf of, public agencies and private clients, including numerous California cities, property owners, and developers. She is currently Assistant City Attorney for Irvine, Laguna Woods and Duarte. Her specialties include helping clients navigate the intersection of land use and civil rights laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), the Federal Fair Housing Act (“FHA”), and California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act (“FEHA”). She received a J.D., in 2010, from the University of California, Davis School of Law and a B.S., in 2002, from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Ajit Thind is a member of the Firm’s Government & Regulatory Law Section. His practice includes both litigation and transactional matters, on behalf of public agencies and private entities. Thind currently serves as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of Menifee and the City of Laguna Beach. He previously served as the Assistant City Attorney for the City of San Clemente. He received a J.D., in 2009, from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and a B.A., in 2006, from the University of California, Berkeley.
